How often do you find yourself admiring someone - that confident colleague at work, the sophisticated lady you met in the elevator, or your trainer at the gym? How often you tell yourself that you just can't be like them.
Of course, there's no way to list the habits that are mandatory for all successful and powerful men and women in the world to practice. Today, however, we offer you eight activities to try out in your everyday life. They will surely help you become the person you dream to be faster.
The morning routine
We all have a morning routine, but for most people it involves tedious chores related to getting ready for work. Try to incorporate something nice into your morning routine - enjoy a cup of coffee in peace, meditate, exercise, walk to work or whatever else makes you happy.
Say “no” enough times during the day
This can be a huge challenge for many people, but once you learn to say “no”, it gets easier after that. Just follow your intuition and learn to say “no” whenever you want to. No one is going to stop liking you because you refused to do someone else's task or didn't accept someone else's opinion. Rather, the opposite would be an obstacle in your way to success.
Take responsibilities
A major step on the road to success is to learn responsibilities. Don't be afraid to make decisions and bear the consequences for them. Even if you make a mistake, you will have learned something. Otherwise, you simply won't even try. Taking responsibilities is an invariable quality of strong and successful women.
Slow down
It's clear that we are all stressed in the hectic everyday life - countless tasks, work, family, deadlines... Learn to live with it all, but take things easy. And the first step to learning this is to give yourself time to rest. Time where you really get away from it all and just enjoy the peace.
Me-Time
Try eliminating the phone and computer for at least a little while, allow yourself a walk, a hot bath, a book, a movie, a hobby, dancing, or whatever else makes you feel relaxed. Allow yourself to take that me-time regularly, not once. You'd be surprised how much more productive and relaxed you'll be the rest of the time.
Eating is a ritual
The way we eat defines much of our lives. Allow yourself to enjoy your food, share it with loved ones, strive to have something healthy on your menu. Try to eliminate fast food. It's a lot easier to cram a sandwich in between meetings at the office, but you'll feel a lot better if you sit down and have a leisurely meal instead.
Communicate
Communicating seems to be getting harder for many. Make an effort to leave online communications behind and spend time talking to your loved ones. Share with them, listen to them, talk about topics that interest you.
Be active
Procrastination is among the main enemies of success. Find a way to move your body in a way you like. If you love strength sports, indulge in them, if you love dancing, dance. You can run in the park, walk in nature, climb stairs. Choose what gives you pleasure.
