Аt the end of the day, unless Iran and Russia want to have a rump Allawite state and a rump Sunni state, and a Kurdish state, then they're going to have to come to the table and bring about an end to this regime.

The intelligence community is very professional, they do their jobs well, they're the best intelligence gatherers in the world. They're dedicated, patriotic Americans. They will work with any president. They want to have a good relationship with every president.

We know that Russia was involved in hacking our democracy. We know that the evidence or information is sufficient to warrant an FBI investigation of this. We are trying to do as much of this as we can in the public eye transparently. Obviously, some of it will have to be done in closed session.

The Gulf states are happy for us to fight and die. That's good for everybody, but the Americans fighting and dying.

I would strongly urge the Donald Trump administration to pick someone who is completely apolitical, who doesn't come out of the political process, someone who is a retired judge or an acting judge willing to step down from their judgeship, someone ideally who has prosecutorial experience, but someone who could come in and give credibility to the Russia investigation that is severely in jeopardy.

Donald Trump and his personal attorney want to lay the foundation to discredit whatever Bob Mueller comes up with. They're essentially engaging in a scorched-earth litigation strategy that is beginning with trying to discredit the prosecutor.

And in this community, as in all others, the Golden Rule still applies - we must be act toward other nations as we would have them act towards America.
