The [China] government has improved in the last years. Of course, the structure is still the same; there's still a one-party system and strong censorship.

I have to find a place for my own. I have to search for my own happiness.

Individual; that means he has his own special way to communicate, which creates the form of him. In the information age, this expression and communication has become so different.

Maybe [success] is because I'm in China and I'm more open. Maybe it's my independent behavior, or because I participated in certain projects. I have no idea.

At the moment about 350,000 students return to China from abroad each year - 350,000 young and educated people. I know about them because they know me and often ask me in the street if they can take a selfie with me. These folks are creative and ironic, and the government can ultimately not control what is going on in their heads.

The relationship between the Chinese government and me is like a Cold War.

If a society cannot even support somebody like me, then people ask: Who is under protection then? That's why there is such support for me. It is not because I am so beautiful or I am so charming. People feel: This guy is fighting for us.
