God spares us because He is good, but He could not be good if He were not just.

Labor in the Lord is not in vain. Labor outside the Lord may well be in vain. We labor in the Lord when we labor using His enablement for His glory.

When men no longer fear God, they transgress His laws without hesitation. The fear of consequences is no deterrent when the fear of God is gone.

God is more concerned with the state of people's hearts than He is with the state of their feelings.

So, it becomes the devil's business to keep the Christian's spirit imprisoned. He knows that the believing and justified Christian has been raised up out of the grave of his sins. From that point on, Satan works that much harder to keep us bound and gagged, in our own grave clothes. He knows that if we continue in this kind of bondage...we are not much better off than when we were spiritually dead.

But the sons of this world have not God; they have only each other, and they walk holding to each other and looking to one another for assurance like frightened children.

You can delegate many things, but prayer is not one of them.
