Feeling and longing are the motive forces behind all human endeavor and human creations.

A man who is convinced of the truth of his religion is indeed never tolerant. At the least, he is to feel pity for the adherent of another religion but usually it does not stop there. The faithful adherent of a religion will try first of all to convince those that believe in another religion and usually he goes on to hatred if he is not successful. However, hatred then leads to persecution when the might of the majority is behind it.

The best design is the simplest one that works.

No one does anything right in life, until they realize that they are making a mistake

...behind all the discernible laws and connections, there remains something subtle, intangible and inexplicable.

Most people stop looking when they find the proverbial needle in the haystack. I would continue looking to see if there were other needles.

Life is sacred, that is to say, it is the supreme value, to which all other values are subordinate.
