Obviously, the 'Glow' show is a real feminist story. I knew it would be about female empowerment, and that was really exciting to me. Having some distance on a period show, I think you can really delve into those kinds of political topics in an in-depth way, and a lot of that reverberates today.

I had been reading a lot of pilots. It was pilot season and I had decided, in my mind, that I wanted to do another show, but the bar had already been set so high, having working on Mad Men and Community, that I was really particular. I was looking for something really specific, but I didn't even know exactly what that was. When I read 'Glow', it just checked every box.

There's a lot of opportunities for scene-stealing if you're a dog.

I get pigeonholed into type-A personality characters, but I'm really not type A. I'm kind of a spaz.

I feel like any time John Oliver is added to something, the comedy is instantly there. He's so funny.

30 Rock is probably one of my favorite shows. It's just joke after joke after joke.
