I've always been a very passionate, sometimes overly emotional person. Sometimes things affect me more than they should.

My best friend recently told me that I was the most passionate person she's ever known. I don't know if that was a compliment or an insult, honestly.

If people are making fun of you, then you're probably doing something right.

I feel like for me the lyric writing really comes from just what's going on in my heart and that's what consumes me; think a lot of our heart is relationships. Not just with boyfriend or girlfriend but all your relationships in your life with other people and our interactions with other humans.

Every time a cool rock chick or actress seems to respect themselves as a strong woman, I'm like, 'Yeah!' And I love them, and they're my girls. And then they start to go downhill and people aren't paying attention anymore. So they start stripping their clothes off, because that's all they have left. I swear to everything I've ever known, I will never do that

I'm not the fastest writer. I can't just crank out ideas that are good enough.

I like Israel. The fans are incredible. It was the best.
