But I have to say, probably when I'm about 30 I'll be pretty, not settled, but happy with what I've accomplished so far. I'm happy where I am now.
Amy SmartI like any story that starts one place and really takes a huge journey to a whole new place; that people in their life want to take that journey. They want to be able to find things in their life that aren't working and work through them to a new place of change.
Amy Smart(UGO, about Crank) I see the addiction to video games because you want to win them and it's just hard enough so you'd want to keep playing it over and over to try to figure it out. I definitely feel the movie is like a game at times but I'm not a huge videogame lover.
Amy SmartI would love to do a period piece - in the 18th or 17th century. To me, it would be such an incredible challenge because of the way people carried themselves. There are so many incredible stories within those centuries - just the language and the way they carried themselves and what they were going through.
Amy SmartI would love to make some kind of film about the witches and the Inquisitions. That would be really fun because I don't think their stories have been told enough.
Amy SmartI think bringing depth to characters means really needing to find out who this girl is, what is she passionate about, what makes her tick, what gets her going in life. So I did a lot of backstory for who she was and sometimes it comes across screen and sometimes it doesn't. You never know, because you're not the director, but you can only do your work and hope that it somehow subtly is infiltrated in that. But I think the characters I've played for the most part have depth, just not in the way that you think they do.
Amy SmartWell, I'm also like 23 and playing 16. So maybe when I'm 30 I'll be playing characters in their early 20s. I don't know.
Amy SmartI read the script and I really liked it. It was high energy, crazy and it goes to any level to get people nuts and I thought Eve was an interesting character. At first I didn't get her, so it made me want to do the role because I wanted to dive in and see what she was about. On top of that I also wanted to work with Jason Statham because he's an amazing actor.
Amy SmartFor me, I'm OK doing embarrassing things, when it's with somebody else. I'm not the only person to look at.
Amy SmartI'm not scared to look like a complete fool in front of people. It's just not one of my insecurities.
Amy SmartThe best gift we can have is living in the present moment and really enjoying it for what it is; and, not being in our heads and getting sidetracked.
Amy SmartI love cooking during Christmas, all smells like the hot apple cider, the hot spiced wine.
Amy SmartI have to say that as an actor, I really look for the role. I'm not really looking to see if it's for television or film, because there are highly talented people in both mediums.
Amy SmartI want to take roles that challenge me and I want to like the script and obviously feel connected with the director because the director to me is so important.
