When I started to do quite well on the tour I thought I'd treat myself to a bright red Ferrari. I had always had a soft spot for them as a car brand and, when I was in the position to afford one, I decided to go for it.

I am not stroppy at all.

I'd have loved to have been a footballer. I was always playing football and I enjoyed it much more than tennis to begin with. It's more fun to play in a team, all the parents are there cheering you on.

Give it everything you've got. Leave nothing out there.

I understand how much everyone wanted to see a British winner at Wimbledon and I hope everyone enjoyed it. I worked so hard in that last game. It's the hardest few points I've had to play in my life. I don't know how I came through the final three points... that last game ... my head was kind of everywhere. That last game will be the toughest game I'll play in my career, ever.

I've never felt nervous in front of big crowds and in big stadiums.

Tennis is an individual sport, and I am quite a self-conscious person.
