Since she's the one for whom I killed the caterpillars (except the two or three butterflies). Since she's the one I listened to when she complained, or when she boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing at all. Since she's my rose.

Man is but a network of relationships and these alone matter to him.

Behind all seen things lies something vaster; everything is but a path, a portal or a window opening on something other than iteself.

How could there be any question of acquiring or possessing, when the one thing needful for a man is to become - to be at last, and to die in the fullness of his being.
