We have to choose between dialogue and utter devastation.

In Burma, under the present Constitution, the Army can always take over all parts of government if they think this is necessary. so until the Army comes out clearly and consistently in support of the democratic process we cannot say that it's irreversible. But I don't think we need fear a reversal too much either.

My attitude is, do as much as I can while I'm free. And if I'm arrested I'll still do as much as I can.

You may not think about politics, but politics think about you.

As long as there is no law in Burma, any individual here can be arrested at any time.

I could listen to the radio and I had access to books from time to time. Not all the time.

We must contemplate what the meaning of being "educated" is. Some people think a person with plenty of degrees is an educated one. But I believe a person who can judge a situation correctly and make timely decisions is more important.
