Burma is not yet a full-fledged democracy. We have started working on the road to full democracy. We have a lot of things to do in order to build a democratic structure and to be become a full-fledged democracy.

All right, your knees may be knocking but that shouldn't prevent you from going ahead and doing what you need to do.

I'm not the only one working for democracy in Burma - there are so many people who have worked for it because they believe that this is the only way we can maintain the dignity of our people.

The quintessential revolution is that of spirit. Without this, the forces which produce the inequalities of the old order will continue to operate.

Even one voice can be heard loudly all over the world in this day and age.

Even if you feel fear, you still have to go ahead and do what you believe in.

It is not power that corrupts but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those who are subject to it.
