My views on charity are very simple. I do not consider it a major virtue and, above all, I do not consider it a moral duty. There is nothing wrong in helping other people, if and when they are worthy of the help and you can afford to help them. I regard charity as a marginal issue. What I am fighting is the idea that charity is a moral duty and a primary virtue.

People want nothing but mirrors around them. To reflect them while they’re reflecting too ... Reflections of reflections and echoes of echoes. No beginning and no end. No center and no purpose.

I am opposed to all forms of control. I am for an absolute, laissez-faire, free, unregulated economy.

I write - and read - for the sake of the story... My basic test for any story is: 'Would I want to meet these characters and observe these events in real life? Is this story an experience worth living through for its own sake? Is the pleasure of contemplating these characters an end itself?

Whatever their future, at the dawn of their lives, men seek a noble vision of man's nature and of life's potential.

I can accept anything, except what seems to be the easiest for most people: the half-way, the almost, the just-about, the in-between.

Don't ever give up what you want in life. The struggle is worth it.
