I have a deep appreciation for the wisdom of this guy , George Washington.

Our lives are now in a telephone, all our data, all our finances, all our personal information, and so it's proper that we have some constraints on that. But it's not going to be 100 percent. If it is 100 percent, then we're not going to be able to protect ourselves and our societies from some people who are trying to hurt us.

The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer.

And to all those who have wondered if Americas beacon still burns as bright - tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope. For that is the true genius of America - that America can change. Our union can be perfected. And what we have already achieved gives us hope for what we can and must achieve tomorrow.

It is true, I worry about the hype. The only person more over-hyped than me is you.

What I could not support was a dumb war, a rash war, a war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics.

In the end, that's what this election is about. Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or a politics of hope?
