[With Donald Trump] we are moving into an era where a lot of people get their information through tweets and sound bites and some headline that comes over their phone.

Scripture tells us that we shall not oppress a stranger, for we know the heart of a stranger. We were strangers once, too.

I could say, as a member of Congress, we usually get an alert if something is going to happen at the Capitol.

This is our moment...while we breathe, we hope. And where we are met with cynicism and doubts and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes, we can.

I think we want to see new voices and new ideas emerge - that's part of the reason why term limits are a really useful thing.
