There's a huge difference in the attitude of the people of the United States of America toward women in politics. It has taken an enormous turn toward equality.

The press is critical at this time, and if you look at history, this is so critical.

When you have a president-elect who calls the press every name in the book, I think it's a warning shot across the bow, and you go back to what you learn when you were a child.

With so many of our fundamental rights hanging in the balance, it is not good enough to simply roll the dice, hoping a nominee has changed his past views. It's not good enough to think, 'This is the best we can expect from this president'.

I'm hopeful that the energy efficiency and public buildings bill will have their endorsement.
