Today, the United States is No. 1 in corporate profits, No. 1 in CEO salaries, No. 1 in childhood poverty and No. 1 in income and wealth inequality in the industrialized world.

I'm not going to get establishment support. I'm not going to get the support of the governors and the senators, with few exceptions, and many of the major organizations.

The Affordable Care Act has clearly, as Secretary Clinton made the point, done a lot of good things, but, what it has not done is dealt with the fact we have 29 million people today who have zero health insurance, we have even more who are underinsured with large deductibles and copayments and prescription drug prices are off the wall.

What this [presidency] campaign is about this bringing millions of people jobs in this country.

Instead of cutting Social Security, we're going to expand Social Security benefits.

Politics in a democratic society should not be treated like a baseball game, a game show or a soap opera. The times are too serious for that.

It's absurd we remain the only major country on earth not to guarantee health care to all people and paid family and medical leave.
