It costs a hell of a lot more money to put somebody in jail than send them to the University of Virginia.

We must make higher education affordable for all. We must substantially lower interest rates on student loans. This must be a national priority.

It is not good enough to say, "Well, hey, I vote every two years. I vote every four years." That's fine, but that is not good enough.

In my view, we need a massive federal jobs program which puts millions of our people back to work. We must end our disastrous trade policies. We need to raise the minimum wage to a living wage. And we have to fight for pay equity for women.
