I have been asked hundreds of times in my life why God allows tragedy and suffering. I have to confess that I really do not know the answer totally, even to my own satisfaction. I have to accept, by faith, that God is sovereign, and He is a God of love and mercy and compassion in the midst of suffering.

Heaven doesn't make this life less important; it makes it more important.

No man ever loved like Jesus. He taught the blind to see and the dumb to speak. He died on the cross to save us. He bore our sins. And now God says, Because He did, I can forgive you.

Jesus said...i'm the only way to permanent peace, im the only way to permanent joy, im the only way to eternal life, im the only way to forgiveness of sin, im the only way to the Father.

The Gospel never grows old. It applies to every generation alike. We have to make a choice.

The number one problem in our world is alienation, rich versus poor, black versus white, labor versus management, conservative versus liberal, East versus West . . . But Christ came to bring about reconciliation and peace.

Once you've lost your privacy, you realize you've lost an extremely valuable thing.
