I trust Jesus with all my tomorrows, knowing that He will solve the mystery of life beyond the grave.

All too often we are more afraid of physical pain than of moral wrong. The cross is the standing evidence of the fact that holiness is a principle for which God would die.

I also would have steered clear of politics. I’m grateful for the opportunities God gave me to minister to people in high places; people in power have spiritual and personal needs like everyone else, and often they have no one to talk to. But looking back I know I sometimes cros­sed the line, and I wouldn’t do that now.

At the foot of the cross, there are no racial barriers.

It should not be surprising if people believe easily in a God who makes no demands, but this is not the God of the Bible. Satan has cleverly misled people by whispering that they can believe in Jesus Christ without being changed, but this is the Devil's lie. To those who say you can have Christ without giving anything up, Satan is deceiving you.

It is the Holy Spirit's job to convict, God's job to judge and my job to love.

I don't go out and preach because of my desire as much as I go out to fulfill the command of Christ. He said, "Go!" to all of His disciples, and we're to go and witness to Christ by the way we live and by our verbal witness about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and about the need to repent and believe. I've never had any doubts about my call.
