Serve God and live; serve these other gods and died.

I feel sorry for the man who has never known the bracing thrill of taking a stand and sticking to it fearlessly. Moral courage has rewards that timidity can never imagine. Like a shot of adrenaline, it floods the spirit with vitality.

May you also remember this Thanksgiving not only the obvious gifts that God has given you, but His spiritual blessings, as well. The greatest gift of all is Jesus Christ, and the salvation God offers us in Him.

God does not discipline us to subdue us, but to condition us for a life of usefulness and blessedness.

The Bible is not an option, it is a necessity. You cannot grow spiritually strong without it.

As a Christian I have hope not just for this life but for Heaven and the life to come. And many of those people who died this past week are in Heaven right now. And they wouldn't want to come back; it's so glorious and so wonderful. And that's the hope for all of us who put our faith in God. I pray that you will have this hope in your heart.

Even when life may be difficult, we should thank God for all He does for us-which we do not deserve.
