God did not create the strife between races, nor did He intend for it to be that way. Strife between races and ethnic groups comes from sin-and sin resides in the human heart. The Bible says, โWhat causes fights and quarrels among you? Donโt they come from your desires that battle within you?โ (James 4:1). When one group or one race claims it is superior to another, pride has taken control-and pride is a sin.Instead, God wants us to learn to accept each other and love each other-and this becomes possible, as we turn our lives over to Christ and allow Him to change us from within.
Billy GrahamIf we have no mercy toward others, that is one proof that we have never experienced God's mercy.
Billy GrahamYou possess a non-renewable resource, which is headed toward total depletion and that resource is time. You can either invest your life or let it dribble through your fingers like sand in an hour glass. If there is ever a time to redeem every second, every minute it is now. You may never have tomorrow. You can't count your days, but with the Lord as your Savior you can make your days count.
Billy GrahamI'm glad to know that we do have political leaders that believe in God, and that has been true from the days of George Washington.
Billy GrahamDuring this Christmas season, when the world seems to be in turmoil, wars are breaking out in different places, crime is rampant, and many things are happening that are great sins in the sight of God. But in that crib is the person who grew up to save us. And He did.
Billy GrahamAlthough we may trust God's promises for life after death and the certainty of a heavenly home, we must still face the reality of death.
Billy GrahamI also would have steered clear of politics. Iโm grateful for the opportunities God gave me to minister to people in high places; people in power have spiritual and personal needs like everyone else, and often they have no one to talk to. But looking back I know I sometimes crosยญsed the line, and I wouldnโt do that now.
