Were I a preacher, I should preach above all other things, the practice of the Presence of God.... Those who have the gale of the Holy Spirit go forward, even in sleep.

That all things are possible to him who believes, that they are less difficult to him who hopes, they are more easy to him who loves, and still more easy to him who perseveres in the practice of these three virtues.

Let us think often that our only business in this life is to please God. Perhaps all besides is but folly and vanity.

Many things are possible for the person who has hope. Even more is possible for the person who has faith. And still more is possible for the person who knows how to love. But everything is possible for the person who practices all three virtues.

The greater perfection a soul aspires after, the more dependent it is upon Divine Grace.

If the vessel of our soul is still tossed with winds and storms, let us awake the Lord, who reposes in it, and He will quickly calm the sea.

Think often on God, by day, by night, in your business and even in your diversions. He is always near you and with you; leave him not alone.
