Disobedience to conscience makes conscience blind.

If we ignore it the truth that God is love may slyly come to mean for us the converse, that love is God.

But how can the characters in a play guess the plot? We are not the playwright, we are not the producer, we are not even the audience. We are on the stage. To play well the scenes in which we are "on" concerns us much more than to guess about the scenes that follow it.

Forgive us as we forgive- we are offered forgiveness on no other terms. To refuse it is to refuse Gods mercy for ourselves.

We must stop regarding unpleasant or unexpected things as interruptions of real life. The truth is that interruptions are real life.

Look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in

The happiness which God designs for his higher creatures is the happiness of being freely, voluntarily united to him.
