I'm always anxious when it comes to my kids. This always makes me feel very vulnerable. Sometimes you think you aren't a good mama, you always feel a bit guilty when you're a mom. You want to be everywhere.

In a way, I envy the freedom artists have. Artists can push themselves beyond their limits, in pursuit of their ideas and their vision, even if they are inhabited by demons that can also play tricks on them.

I think that when you're taking pictures with my principles, you can try anything. Dare to do a lot of things - dare with sexuality, dare to break taboos as long as it remains photogenic. As long as I find an elegance and beauty in it, I am not afraid to tackle anything.

Each time I’m coming out of my apartment I remember the quote of Coco Chanel; she said, ‘Each time I’m leaving my apartment or my hotel, I’m looking at myself in the mirror and I take off one piece of my look. It’s always one thing too much.’ And it’s a bit the same, always I take off my scarf or I take off my bag or jewellery because I like it simple. Coco Chanel is a great consultant I think.

Imitation always stinks. When I take photos, I don't go back. I don't look at the past. I'm always original.

I don't say "oh, I'm a grandmother; I can't wear this anymore." Everything I can't wear I've already given to my daughter.

Maybe people have no idea how much work is behind a picture. It can seem very effortless but there is a lot of work. It’s exactly like doing ballet. It’s hours and hours but when you go onstage it’s just the pleasure of dancing.
