I have no theory about dreams. I do not know how dreams arise. On the other hand, I know that if we meditate on a dream sufficiently long and thoroughly โ if we take the boat with us and turn it over and over โ something almost always comes out of it.
Carl JungIn each of us there is another whom we do not know. He speaks to us in dreams and tells us how differently he sees us from the way we see ourselves. When, therefore, we find ourselves in a difficult situation to which there is no solution, he can sometimes kindle a light that radically alters our attitude - the very attitude that led us into the difficult situation.
Carl JungPeople learn from who we are, rather than what we say, and to believe otherwise is a disease of the mind.
Carl JungThe more uncertain I have felt about myself, the more there has grown up in me a feeling of kinship with all things.
Carl JungHow else could it have occurred to man to divide the cosmos, on the analogy of day and night, summer and winter, into a bright day-world and a dark night-world peopled with fabulous monsters, unless he had the prototype of such a division in himself, in the polarity between the conscious and the invisible and unknowable unconscious?
