We need to repent of our sin for not loving our children. Spend some time in repentance and read Godโs Word and reading books about motherhood. You may be depleted and need fresh vision and perspective in regards to your role as a mom. Find a way to be alone for a few hours and study Godโs Word as your role as a mother. If you are not enjoying your children if youโre lacking joy as a mother may I appeal to you to take whatever measures necessary to change. Repent and find a mature woman who enjoys her role as a mother to encourage you and hold you accountable to this period of your life.

Carolyn MahaneyThe world may not applaud us for wiping running noses, driving in carpools, or talking with our teenager into the wee hours of the morning. And until they are trained, our children might not thank us either. But as we set aside our own selfish desires and glorify God by joyfully serving our children, we are pursuing true greatness according to the Bible. Let us do so with tenderness, affection, and with a smile!
Carolyn MahaneyWe are not beautiful because we fit the popular ideal of beauty, and we are not ugly or unattractive because we donโt measure up. Our beauty as human beings is not derived from ourselves. It comes from a beautiful God.
Carolyn MahaneyWhen we choose to obey God and give our bodies to our husbandsโeven if we donโt feel like itโGod will reward us with pleasure.
Carolyn MahaneyOur conduct has a direct influence on how people think about the gospel. The world doesn't judge us by our theology; the world judges us by our behavior. People don't necessarily want to know what we believe about the Bible. They want to see if what we believe makes a difference in our lives. Our actions either bring glory to God or misrepresent His truth.
