The Word of God is the anvil upon which the opinions of men are smashed.

The observant man recognizes many mysteries into which he can not pretend to see, and he remembers that the world is too wide for the eye of one man. But the modern sophists are sure of everything, especially if it contradicts the Bible.

Look to the cross, and hate your sin, for sin nailed your Well Beloved to the tree. Look up to the cross, and you will kill sin, for the strength of Jesus' love will make you strong to put down your tendencies to sin.

And I will go as far as Martin Luther, in that strong assertion of his, where he says, "If any man ascribes any of salvation, even the very least, to the free-will of man, he knows nothing of grace, and he has not learned Jesus Christ aright."

It is not faith in Christ that saves you (though faith is the instrument) - it is Christ's blood and merits.

When your will is God's will, you will have your will.

Do not flatter yourselves: if you go to places of worship merely to look about you or to hear music, you are not worshipping God.
