The verb 'highly favored' (Luke 1:28) is the same as 'made us accepted' in Ephesians 1:6, referring to all of God's children. All true believers have been 'highly graced' by the Lord.
Charles SpurgeonMy faith rests not in what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what he has done, and in what he is doing for me.
Charles SpurgeonWhatever may be said about the doctrine of election, it is written in the Word of God as with an iron pen, and there is no getting rid of it.
Charles SpurgeonO prejudice, prejudice, prejudice, how many hast thou destroyed! Men who might have been wise have remained fools because they thought they were wise. Many judge what the gospel ought to be, but do not actually enquire as to what it is. They are not open to the honest force of truth, and therefore are not saved by it.
