O man, I beseech you do not treat God's promises as if they were curiosities for a museum; but use them as every day sources of comfort. Trust the Lord whenever your time of need comes on.

Incredulity is not wisdom.

Character is always lost when a high ideal is sacrificed on the altar of conformity and popularity.

Abhor all idea of being saved by good works, but O, be as full of good works as if you were to be saved by them!

The fact of resurrection is not extraordinary; it is in accord with what we who believe at all believe to be the uniform law of life--that death does not touch it. The witnesses to the resurrection of Christ were unprejudiced, unexpectant, incredulous, and their honesty is not doubted even by skeptical criticism.

Jehovah is the great Miracle Maker, the unrivaled Wonder worker. None can be likened unto Him, He is alone in wonderland, the Creator and Worker of true marvels, compared with which all other remarkable things are as child's play.

Not that our salvation should be the effect of our work, but our work should be the evidence of our salvation.
