I hate mirrors; every time I look in one I see things that could be improved. If I could give my younger self any advice it would be: โTake a deep breath, the world is not ending โ and do something with your hair.โ I had the same haircut from when I was a toddler all the way through high school, it was this weird side-parting. I didnโt like change.
Chris ColferIโm not really afraid to be my awkward self, and I know thereโs lots and lots of other people just like me out there that are awkward themselves. And I think they just appreciate that Iโm not afraid to say the weird things that I say and tweet the obnoxious things that I tweet. But Iโve tried being other people and myself suits me the best. I think you just be honest. I think people respond to honesty.
Chris ColferI'm pretty sure I'm going to fall in my GaGa shoes one night on tour and I'm hoping it becomes a Youtube sensation.
Chris ColferYou'd think after thousands of years on this planet the human race would have released some kind of handbook for teenagers, telling them how to get through teenagehood and get help for their issues. Yet here we are, struggling through it in our own ways.
Chris ColferI don't think I've ever tried to be something that I'm not. People do that for you. People try to pigeonhole you. People tried typecasting me, before they even saw me in anything else. I've never understood that. I was like, "Why don't you wait until my next project, before you start telling my what my career is going to look like, for the next 10 years?" I've never let it set me back because I always knew the world would try to do that for me, anyway.
