If Britain was to close down altogether overnight, then China would take up the slack of carbon emissions in two years. If America closed down, just the growth in China's emissions would replace America's emissions in 12 years.

My message to the Pope would be, don't take sides on the science. Don't make the same mistake as seven out of 10 judges in the trial of Galileo, when they invited him to retract his views.

This (environmental treaty) process has nothing to do with the weather. It has nothing to do with man's impact on the weather.
