Every single day I wake up in the morning, and I wonder if this is some kind of amazing dream that's gonna end all of a sudden. And, you know, I'm gonna wake up and be somewhere else.

But when the 'Glee' audition came around, my manager literally had to talk me into it. I was petrified to sing in front of anyone.

Evolved? As a dancer? Me? I don’t fall down as much, unless it’s part of the scripted dance. I don’t step on other people’s toes anymore. I think if I started the show a one out of ten dancer, now I am a two and a half.

I don’t want kids to think it’s okay to drop out of school and get high, and they’ll be famous actors, too.

My past made me who I am today. I can’t just pretend it never happened. But the biggest lesson I learnt from that, is that I can be an example for others who are still struggling! There’s always hope and help for everyone. I think it’s my responsibility to do that, to help. I always refer to this as the “moment of clarity”. It’s hard to explain what really happened, but it was a once in a lifetime kind of moment. I had reached my lowest point and I just knew things had to change quickly because there was just no other way, you know.

When the music hits, you feel no pain, to quote Bob Marley. But it’s true. It’s like all art and creation: You’re completely in the moment, and you just feel free.
