Sometimes I am kind of the opposite of my character. But that's the thing about acting, you get to play people who are not like you at all.

The world is made up of the big things and the small ones. And the part that's so unfair is that we call them 'big' and 'small' because when something happens to you, when you loose something or someone that your really care about, that's all there is. The world may be blowing up around you, but you don't care about that. You don't care about that at all.

It's cool that people enjoy my work. That's fun for me that people, like going to my movies and enjoy all the hard work that everyone put into it. I think that's the biggest reward, to know that everyone enjoyed the movies with me.

My job is all about getting inside another person's mind and thoughts.

My dad named me Dakota and my mom came up with my first name Hannah. So it's Hannah Dakota Fanning.

It's what I love about what I do and the life that I'm able to have and be able to just be so normal one day and be here the next...I feel so lucky to be able to do what I do.

My advice would be to go with the "love who you are, embrace yourself" vibe that's happening right now.
