Taking care of our planet is like taking care of our houses. Since we human beings come from Nature, there is no point in our going against nature, which is why I say the environment is not a matter of religion or ethics or morality. These are luxuries, since we can survive without them. But we will not survive if we continue to go against nature.

Change only takes place through action, not through meditation and prayer.

Whenever there is a challenge, there is also an opportunity to face it, to demonstrate and develop our will and determination.

We need to understand how destructive emotions affect us and constructive emotions can help us, so that we can maintain our peace of mind.

I don't think human affection and compassion are just religious concerns; they're indispensable factors in our day-to-day lives.

Peace does not come through prayer, we human beings must create peace.

There is nothing that does not get easier through cultivation. The buddhas of the past started out as ordinary beings. They were not buddhas in the beginning. The path to buddhahood is traversed only through gradually developing more and more courage and DETERMINATION -then it is attained.
