Conversion is an offering of self, of love, and of loyalty we give to God in gratitude for the gift of testimony.

It's tough for parents to talk to children about heavy-weight topics such as peer pressure, drugs and morality if they don't already have a closeness. A parent can't just all of a sudden pick out an hour and talk to a son about being morally clean if the parent and child haven't spent much time together for three or four years. I think closeness is developed more quickly by having fun together.

We are not, and never need be, alone.

The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live.

Testimony is the beginning of and a prerequisite to continuing conversion. Testimony is a point of departure; it is not an ultimate destination. Strong testimony is the foundation upon which conversion is established. Testimony alone is not and will not be enough to protect us in the latter-day storm of darkness and evil in which we are living.

Knowing that the gospel is true is the essence of a testimony. Consistently being true to the gospel is the essence of conversion.

An Apostle is a missionary, bearing testimony of the reality and divinity of Jesus Christ in all the world.
