So many things were going great in my life and then all of the sudden my personal life just went down at crazy speeds. I had a negative breakdown and it changed my life forever, but I'm glad that it did, because if I had never gone into the treatment ... I don't know if, one, I'd even be sitting here today. Two, if I'd be alive today.

That person I was when I was a lot younger is not who I am today.

To me, I don't think it does anybody any good to just hide something or cover it up or lie or whatever. I think ... that's what being a role model is all about. It's not about being perfect. It's about speaking about your issues and inspiring others to get help.

Whenever you're going through stuff, it definitely reflects in the way you wear your makeup and hair. Wearing less makeup is more comfortable for me.

People don't realize how badly verbal harassment and cyber bullying affects you. I wish they had hit me in the face and gotten it over with, because what they said to me, sticks to me to this day. It affected me into the person that I am today.

Nothing is more beautiful than a smile that has struggled through tears
