The pure love of Christ can remove the scales of resentment and wrath from our eyes, allowing us to see others the way our Heavenly Father sees us: as flawed and imperfect mortals who have potential and worth far beyond our capacity to imagine. Because God loves us so much, we too must love and forgive each other.
Dieter F. UchtdorfGod wants to help us to eventually turn all of our weaknesses into strengths,1 but He knows that this is a long-term goal. He wants us to become perfect,2 and if we stay on the path of discipleship, one day we will. Itโs OK that youโre not quite there yet. Keep working on it, but stop punishing yourself.
Dieter F. UchtdorfDisciples of Jesus Christ understand that compared to eternity, our existence in this mortal sphere is only โa small momentโ in space and time. They know that a personโs true value has little to do with what the world holds in high esteem. They know you could pile up the accumulated currency of the entire world and it could not buy a loaf of bread in the economy of heaven.
Dieter F. UchtdorfAs you take the normal opportunities of your daily life and create something of beauty and helpfulness, you improve not only the world around you but also the world within you.
