The disciples bear the suffering laid on them only by the power of him who bears all suffering on the cross. As bearers of suffering, they stand in communion with the Crucified.

Not everyone can wait: neither the sated nor the satisfied nor those without respect can wait. The only ones who can wait are people who carry restlessness around with them.

There is no kindness more cruel than the kindness which consigns another person to their sin.

If you do a good job for others, you heal yourself at the same time, because a dose of joy is a spiritual cure.
