I did disagree with Ronald Reagan very strongly on trade. I disagreed with him. We should have been much tougher on trade even then. I've been waiting for years. Nobody does it right.

We inherited a national debt that has doubled in eight years. Think of it - $20 trillion. It's doubled. And we inherited a foreign policy marked by one disaster after another. We don't win anymore. When was the last time we won? Did we win a war? Do we win anything? Do we win anything? We're going to win. We're going to win big, folks. We're going to start winning again, believe me.

The core conviction of our [Trump] movement is that we are a nation that put and will put its own citizens first. For too long we've traded away our jobs to other countries - so terrible. We've defended other nations' borders while leaving ours wide open; anybody can come in.

Look, the Democrats are obstructionists; that's all they can do is obstruct. They have no leadership. And we have to agree, and I think both - both sides agree, we have to keep government going, we don't want to shut government. So - so we're - we'll have more of these to discuss in the future.

I know people that can't win. I know people that are very talented at sports, and they never win.

We're not going to have a wall [on Southern border] like now which is either non-existent or a joke.

I own nothing in Russia. I have no loans in Russia. I don't have any deals in Russia.
