Special interests don't want border controls because uncontrolled immigration lowers wages, but the job of a president is to fight for higher pay for all Americans, including recent legal immigrants living here today.

America would have a disaster on trade, and America will have a disaster with open borders.

Immigration law doesn`t exist for the purpose of keeping criminals out. It exists to protect all aspects of American life, the work site, the welfare office, the education system, and everything else. That is why immigration limits are established in the first place. If we only enforce the laws against crime, then we have an open border to the entire world. We will enforce all of our immigration laws!

I watched what this man [Cruz] did to Dr. Ben Carson, who I respect, in Iowa, where he said that Ben Carson is out of the race - he has left Iowa and he's out of the race. And I thought it was disgraceful.

[Illegal immigrants] they`re bringing drugs. They`re bringing crime. They`re rapists.Somebody is doing the raping. Somebody is doing it. There`s women being raped. Well, who is doing the raping? Who is doing the raping?

I want to have a strong border. We have to have it. Otherwise, we don't have a country. We have drugs pouring in. We have crime pouring in. We have, you know, a lack of economic development because of it. And we hurt our jobs picture, which are desperately needed.
