The Barack Obama administration had been negotiating with the Canadians to come up with a permanent solution on lumber tariff. And they failed. And so even though this is being portrayed as the first salvo by Donald Trump's tough trade regime, in fact, it's quite possible that, if Hillary Clinton were president, we would be in the same place.

I think various places in this country are ready to explode. I think [race relations] are very tense. I think that [Barack] Obama has divided the country as far as race relations are concerned, and I think that you have certain sections, and you have lots of different locations within this country that potentially are powder kegs.

At some point, we have to stop a force that's going out and drowning people in steel cages and chopping off heads.

But I believe in fair trade, and I will tell you, I have many, many friends heading up corporations, and people that do just business in China, they say it's virtually impossible. It's very, very hard to come into China. And yet, we welcome them with open arms.

Wouldn't it be nice if we actually got along with people, wouldn't it be nice if we actually got along, as an example, with Russia?

The biggest story in all of politics are the millions of people that are coming out to vote for me, in all fairness, for the Republican Party.

In fact the Hillary [Clinton] convention which did very well but not nearly as well as mine, in all fairness, would've gotten one-third the ratings they got if I weren't.
