You're as good as anyone else is, if you're good. You're no less important than anyone else is in the grand scope of things.

I am fine with 'Puppy Love.' I hated it for a while. But I still sing it. I have a country version, a sexy version and a cheesy nightclub version. I am trying to infuse it with maturity. I will never escape that song. I will always be Mr. 'Puppy Love.'

I could play it safe by recording songs that are familiar, but am I expanding myself as an artist by doing covers? It's a catch-22. It's called show business: The word 'business' is in it, and you've got to be a businessman. But then again, you have to be true to yourself as an artist.

I'm like everybody else. I get tired sometimes.

Thank goodness I had a great family growing up, a great foundation. But I will say my faith, my parents, my family, all that stuff is very, very important. And I'll say that until the day I die.

I look at Justin Bieber and my heart breaks for him, because I know what he's going to go through. He knows it. Everybody knows it.

I try to be a good guy and I fall short sometimes, but I use Christ as an example.
