Love is a key ingredient for creativity.

I grew up in different orphanages in Israel, and if they gave me a pair of shoes, a shirt, and pair of pants every year, I was lucky. The rest was handouts, leftover clothes. So I appreciated clothes because I only had one new shirt each year.

I got involved in fashion by accident. When I got to New York, my intention was to have enough money to eat and to stay and I don't have to leave. I just loved New York - the energy, the culture, the freedom.

Creativity to me is the life force that is in us. It’s an animalistic instinct for survival.

New York accepts everybody. It doesn't matter your sex, color, religion. Everybody works together to create a better life.

Don't bring me problems. Bring me solutions.
