I'll play a character who is getting married to a woman to avoid the draft. Ultimately they fall in love with each other, but at first it's only out of practicality.
Elijah WoodI certainly thought of who [Tony from "I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore"] was. He was so different from anyone I've played. And it was so important for me and Macon [Blair] - this was on the page too - to not make a caricature. There's a version of Tony that I think could be heightened.
Elijah WoodSo, as much as it is about this continuing war, the reinstated draft, and their individual views, it's really sort of a deeply human tale, and a character study as well.
Elijah WoodI think being different, going against the grain of society is the greatest thing in the world.
