I think I was drawn to comedy originally because when I was really young, by the time I was eight I had seen movies like The Jerk, Animal House, and Planes, Trains & Automobiles with my dad, and I knew them by heart. I loved them and my dad loved them, and we would laugh together, and I would think, 'This is love.' I just wanted to make people feel like that.

In Hollywood - and indeed, the world - a lot of women only think about themselves in the context of men. It's truly sad.

I think women should wear whatever makeup they want for themselves. Makeup should be fun.

One of the coolest things about being an actor is growing, and changing with everything, and never making the same decision twice because you've learned so much from the last project. I guess that's like in life. You keep moving through, and you hopefully learn from your mistakes and just get better and better all the time.

Gambles are the most fun because it's part of being an actor or being a creative person. It's risky only in the vulnerable sense. And then outside of that, no one gets too hurt by it.

The things that make you most mad about the world tend to be the things that you hate in yourself.

I definitely understood the feeling of moving to Los Angeles and having a dream to be an actor in films and to get to be a part of things that I loved and inspire people in some way.
