Nothing lasts forever. Highs, lows, it's all fine. A little gentler with it. Because I really used to think things going well, for some reasons, would be much more terrifying internally than things being a bit chaotic for me.

For me, the political part of being an actor is very tough. To sit somewhere and tell somebody why you should feel this way or that way about my character does not feel like my responsibility. It feels like the responsibility of the writer and the person who created it.

There are some things that have to wait and that can't just happen right now.

Sometimes I definitely shut people out. I can be that sort of girlfriend who crosses her arms, shakes her head and says, "Nope, I'm not telling you what's wrong. I'm fine."

The importance of balance is huge but I think it is for everybody. It's a big issue for at least anyone that I talk to in any career.

I'm a big music fan, an admirer. But I mean by no means am I about to release an album or anything.

A lot of times I feel like people come up to me because they think I'm like my character in Easy A, or because they've seen me in interviews, but really what they're a fan of is a movie or a character.
