Today, our planet demands a more effective, efficient, transparent and representative United Nations; a UN where all societies of the world have greater participation. The UN must then, dare to change in order to improve. In Mexico, we firmly believe that the UN has all the powers to be more daring and to renovate itself.

We`re not in agreement on all topics. I had a conversation with Mr. [Donald] Trump that was open and constructive.

Do you agree that when theres tension and an obsession to want to hit the ball is when you hit it worst? You have to be loose.

Beginning of our conversation with Donald Trump, I made it very clear that Mexico will not pay for the wall.

We are advancing, we are responding, we are having major apprehensions of the most wanted, most dangerous criminals, overall, we continue to work toward a Mexico of peace that we all want.

The relationship between the United States and Mexico goes over and beyond the relationship between two governments. This is a relationship that has been built as of two peoples who have a common life, or millions of people who have their everyday lives in both nations; a relationship that undoubtedly involves millions of inhabitants of both countries.

We must fight inequality and poverty if we want to re-establish peace and security. Seven million Mexicans live in extreme poverty, which is why I have launched a crusade against hunger. We also have to improve our educational system and stimulate economic growth.
