I would say democracy once meant an organizational society and a state, in which the individual citizen is - feels - responsible, and acts responsibly, and participates in decision-making.

Independent of others and in concert with others, your main task in life is to do what you can best do and become what you can potentially be.

When an individual is awake, almost all he does and says is inspired by the model of behavior that the society imposes,even without his being aware of it.

Integrity simply means a willingness not to violate one's identity, in the many ways in which such violation is possible.
