I am honored to be here as co-chair of President Obama's re-election campaign.

I never thought of myself as a sex symbol. I just do the cover of magazines. I think it’s really unfair men or people in the world think you can’t be both – you can’t be a sex symbol and a serious businessperson. Who says I can’t be both? Who says I can’t do the cover of Maxim and run a production company? Women are complex. Women are beautiful and intellectual and spiritual and social and entrepreneurial. They’re everything. And I think I’m a great example of that.

It was heartbreaking . . . I think it was disappointing because I had such an identity in being 'Mrs. Parker', and being a wife, and so when that's taken away from you, you [think], 'Who am I?

People can't ignore that Hispanics represent the fastest-growing demographic in the US. The future success of America is intricately tied to the future success of the Hispanic community. And it's the women of these communities - the mothers, sisters, daughters - who make the world go around. I decided to focus on giving them opportunities so that they're set up for success in life.

You never date someone's ex-boyfriend. Period. That's not even the unspoken rule - that's the spoken rule.

It's really important to have a healthy sexuality and to be open about it. It's not a taboo. It's normal.
